Sample Quality


Every sample has a data quality score .  Two quality schemes are defined, which can be selected with the QC dropdown menu at upper right of the plate view.

In "QC by count", the quality is defined by the number of particles per analyte.   Each analyte with 8 or more particles is colored green; each analyte with between 3 and 8 particles is colored orange, and below 3 particles is colored red.

In "QC by spread", the quality is defined by the width of the confidence interval (CI) relative to mean.  Each analyte with CI/mean < 15% is colored green, analytes with CI/mean < 25% are colored orange, and analytes with CI/mean > 25% are colored gray.

A mostly green well indicates that results are reliable for that well.   In a picture:
